THE EVENT

Open Water Training Camp: Lampedusa is part of the Pelagie island, which in ancient Greek means “open waters” and that is exactly where we are going and what we will be doing: swimming in the open water! The Swim Camp will take place on this Sicilian island, which is one of the most popular touristic attraction for people who want to enjoy nature, the sun, beautiful beaches and blue waters.
During this camp, athletes will have the opportunity to swim both close to the coast and beaches, as well as experience true open water swimming. Boat excursions will be organized to see the entire coast of the island, which is not accessible by land. All the incredible natural landscapes that this island offers will be explored during your stay.
During the camp athletes will be able to train with highly skilled open water coaches twice a day and their support crew and family will be able to come along and enjoy their time on the beach or on the boat. Family and friends that come to support and not to swim will be equally considered in the camp and always encourage to come along and be part of the Swimming Travel Lampedusa Team.

THE PROGRAM

DAY 1 Arrival at the Hotel, check in and briefing of the program. First swim at the Isola dei Conigli.
DAY 2 AM: After breakfast we will be heading to one of the island’s bays to have our morning open water practice from the beach, followed by lunch in an incredible location. PM: After lunch and a moment of relaxation, we will have the second open water swimming practice, this time along the coast. In the late afternoon we will have a forum session focusing on the open water swimming world: training, nutrition, race preparation and more.
DAY 3 AM: After breakfast we will be heading to the port and start a daylong excursion on a private boat that will bring us to explore the most incredible bays of the island and assist us during our swims. Lunch will be on the boat. Today there will also be video shooting to analyze your swimming techniques.
DAY 4 AM: There will be out last open water swim practice, after which you will receive your Swimming Travel Certificate. Last briefing at the hotel for feedback and comments. PM: Departure.

Be aware that the program might change according to weather forecast and conditions. We will still do our best to offer you're the full experience and program, by adapting to the winds and currents.

Children policy

Children from 0 to 5 years of age: free in a room with parents | Children from 7 to 13 years of age: 25% discount (in the same room with parents).

Cancellation policy

Reimbursement September Camp:

• Before May 01: 80% of the frist cost / 90% of the total cost.
• Between May 2 and June 30: 50% of the total cost.
• Between July 1 and August 06: 40% of the total cost.

Reimbursement October Camp:

• Before June 01: 90% of the frist cost.
• Between June 2 and July 31: 50% of the total cost.
• Between August 1 and September 06: 40% of the total cost.

Customization

We offer the option to customize our offer and fulfill special requests if possible. We offer the service of booking flights and transfers from/to the airport/hotel. Email us for more information.

REGISTRATION METHODS

Single payment via online platforms (PayPal/Stripe) as indicated in the registration form.
Two-step payment by bank transfer divided as follows:

01 First deposit of €300 per person at registration with the required form to fill out. Due April 01 (September Camp) - Due May 01 (October Camp).
02 Final deposit due Settembre01 (September Camp).
02 Final deposit due August 01 (October Camp).

N.B. The camps will be officially confirmed in the first half of May (for the September Camp) and in the first half of June (for the October Camp) . If the minimum number of 8 participants is reached. In case of cancellation you will be reimbursed 100%.
