THE EVENT

SwimmingTraveloffers the opportunity to be part of the Swimming Travel Team participating at the Bosphorus Cross Continental Race in August. The race is about 6.5km long and crosses the Bosporus strait from the European to Asian side of Istanbul, crossing the border. The event is organized by the Turkish Olympic Committee and it takes place every year since 1989. People come from all over the world to join this event. The start takes place in Kanlica on the Asian side, and the arrival is located at Kuruçeşme Cemil Topuzlu Park on the European side of the city. Our program includes: support with registration, transfer from the hotel to the race field, briefing prior to the race start to make sure each swimmer feels safe and well prepared for the competition, moreover will be given pieces of strategic advice and close assistance to have the best possible race and experience during this incredible event.

THE PROGRAM

DAY 1 PM Arrival at the hotel, check in and overall briefing of SwimmingTravel Team.
DAY 2 AM Transfer with private bus for ST Team to the race area for race check in. Overview of race location and course inspection.
DAY 3 AM Transfer with private bus for ST Team to the race start area. PM Transfer with private bus for ST Team back to the hotel after the race.
DAY 4 AM Departure.

THE OFFER

The package include

• 3 nights in a four star Hotel in the center of Istanbul. It is located in one of the most famous neighborhoods of the European part of the city.
• Free Wi-Fi included in your rooms.
• Assistance with organization, trip planning, swimming assistance and advice, analysis of race and course.
• Transfer with private bus from and to race/hotel.
• Private Swimming Travel race briefing to analyze the course.

THE PACKAGE

The package does not include

• Flight.
• Transfer from and to airport.
• Everything extra not included above (dinner with family etc.).

Cancellation policy

• Before June 01: 40% of the first payment, or 70% of the total cost paid.
• Between June 02 and June 20: 40% of the total cost.
• No reimbursment policies will apply from June 21.

In case of trip cancellation due to travel restriction in Europe we will be able to reimburse you the 80% of the total cost.

Customization

We offer the option to customize our offer and fulfill special requests if possible. We offer the service of booking flights and transfers from/to the airport/hotel. Email us for more information.

REGISTRATION METHODS

01 Pre-registration is offered in order to reserve your spot. This requires a deposit of €70 per person and the required application due December 18, 2023.
Our Swimming Travel Team assists with the complete registration of the Turkish Olympic Committee event registration. However, we CANNOT promise or guarantee the athlete’s entry to the event since registration closes very fast due to the high demand, and there are only limited spots available every year. In case the athlete -for some reason- is not able to receive a spot at the event from the Turkish Olympic Committee, we will reimburse 50€ of the pre-registration.
